Khaleda leaves Madina for Makkah today
She arrived in Madina on Thursday night at the beginning of her 11-day visit to Saudi Arabia as a royal guest of King Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz.
During her stay in the holy city of Madina, Khaleda performed ziarat at the holy Rouza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (SM). She also visited historic mosques and places of religious importance.
Accompanied by members of her entourage, the prime minister had her iftar with the devotees at Masjid-e-Nababi.
She offered her prayers, including Juma and Tarabi, in congregation in the Masjid-e-Nababi.
She also prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity of Bangladesh and the Muslim Ummah.
The prime minister will spend the holy night of Shab-e-Qadr in prayers in Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah.
She is expected to return home on November 23.
Members of the Prime Minister's entourage include her youngest son Arafat Rahman and his wife, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin and his wife, and Prime Minister's Political Secretary M Mosaddek Ali and his wife.
