BNP-backed criminal escapes arrest

But Morshed Khan escaped the arrest by jumping into a derelict pond near his house.

Rab officials said two shots were fired at Morshed as he jumped into the pond.

They made frantic search in and around the pond whole night but could not trace him out.

A Rab official said, " We don't know what has happened to his fate after the fire."

Rab launched the raid at 7:00pm after a tip off that Morshed was present at his residence.
