EWU celebrates 8th founding anniversary

East West University founder Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin inaugurates founding anniversary programmes of the university at Osmani Memorial Hall in the city on Saturday

Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, founder vice-chancellor and president of the board of directors of the university, inaugurated the daylong celebration in presence of the faculty, staff and students.

Environmental and Social Club of the university organised a painting competition for the children on 'Bangladesh' to begin the programmes.

Annual cultural programme and prize distribution ceremony were held in the evening and prizes were distributed among students and club moderators for their extra-curricular contributions.

State Minister for Education ANM Ehsanul Haque in his speech as chief guest lauded the untiring efforts of the university in upgrading the quality of education.

Syed Manzur Elahiu, a former advisor to the caretaker government, cited EWU's role in providing the corporate sector with quality human resources.

Farashuddin, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Musa and Registrar Firdaus Ali also spoke.
