Obituary
Monowara Begum, mother of Mahfuzur Rahman, former president of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), died of old-age complications on December 21 at her residence at Dumuria in Ramganj upazila of Lakkhipur district at the age of 70,says a press release.
She left behind her husband, two sons and four daughters.
DRU President M Shafiqul Karim and General Secretary Shakhawat Hossain in a message condoled the death and expressed sympathy to the family members.
