Hasina urged to call off Mar 27 hartal

Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leathergoods and Footwear Exporters Association (BFLLFEA) and Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) in a letter conveyed the request to Hasina, also the Awami League chief.

The business bodies said the international fair has been held in Dhaka since 1999 amid participation of a large number of sellers and buyers from home and abroad.

The leather industry will be benefited from the fair, but the hartal may ruin the opportunity, hindering the fair, the letter said.
