Star Business Report

Shares of Aamra Networks Ltd fell by 10.61 percent today after the IT services provider reported losses in the first three quarters of the financial year 2025-26 and announced a 0.10 percent, or one paisa, cash dividend for its general shareholders for the year ended June 30, 2025.

The dividend would be the lowest payout given by the company in three years.

Aamra Net closed at Tk 17.70 at the Dhaka Stock Exchange today, down from yesterday’s closing price of Tk 19.80.

The business-to-business IT services provider paid a 5 percent cash dividend in 2022, while it paid 10 percent for 2024.

Sponsors and directors of the company hold 3.07 crore shares, while the cash dividend payable to general shareholders stands at Tk 6.22 lakh, the company said in a disclosure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) today.

Aamra Networks reported a loss of Tk 0.44 per share in the July-March period, compared with earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 0.77 in the same period a year ago.

The company said a steep drop in sales, coupled with an increase in operating expenses, negatively affected net profitability. As a result, EPS declined drastically, it added.

It also said a significant decrease in cash collected from customers, as well as an increase in cash paid to suppliers and operating expenses, contributed to the decline in profitability in the third quarter of the 2025-26 financial year.

Aamra Net’s net operating cash flow per share stood at a negative Tk 0.55 for July 2025-March 2026, compared with Tk 1.05 in the same period a year ago.

As of July 31, 2026, sponsors and directors held 33.04 percent of the company’s shares, while institutions and the general public held the rest, according to DSE data.
