Dhaka offers condolences after Ecuador quake

Bangladesh has expressed deep shock at the casualties and destructions following the recent devastating earthquake that shook Ecuador.

"Our sympathies and prayers are with all those affected…We stand by your government and the friendly people of Ecuador at this difficult time," Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said in a message yesterday to his Ecuadorian counterpart Charles Flanagan.

The minister wished that the affected families would be able to return to their normal lives within the shortest possible time.
