IPHN launches voice call service to provide nutrition facts

The Institute of Public Health and Nutrition (IPHN) yesterday launched a voice call service at the Cirdap auditorium in Dhaka to disseminate basic facts about nutrition to four crore mobile phone users countrywide. The 29-second call features the voice of Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury asking people to breastfeed newborns within an hour of birth and continue it for six months.
State run mobile phone operator Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd, and Ethics Advanced Technology Ltd are providing support for making the calls.
