Nagorik Oikyo seeks Manna's proper treatment at hospital
Nagorik Oikyo yesterday expressed grave concern over its Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna's health and urged the authorities concerned to shift him to a hospital and ensure proper treatment.
Referring to news reports, the organisation, in a statement, said Manna was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as part of his ongoing treatment yesterday, but physicians did not give him therapy as he had a high fever.
Manna had been suffering from cardiac complications and different other ailments before he was arrested, it said adding, his health condition deteriorated as he had to sleep on the floor in the jail.
