Using digital platforms for service info and feedback
A roundtable titled “Prospect of Digital Platforms in Getting Service-Related Information and Providing Feedback” was held at Cirdap office yesterday, said a press release.
High-level government officials, university teachers, researchers, doctors, donor agencies and NGO representatives attended the programme.
Abdulla Al Mamun, director of child rights and child protection of Save the Children in Bangladesh, in his welcome speech, said, “There are more than 90 million phone and internet users in Bangladesh, which is a sign of digital transformation. In line with this change, using digital platforms will bring accountability in the service sector.”
Md Torikul Islam, associate professor of Jahangirnagar University and visiting scholar of Oxford University, said, “Digital platforms are now a very effective medium to bridge the gap between service providers and seekers. The Kolorob app will be a good solution in this regard.”
The Kolorob app, by Save the Children in Bangladesh, allows users to find service centres near their location and the kinds of service available. Moreover, those who receive service can provide reviews, feedback, and ratings.
Mahmud Hassan, additional secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, was also present at the discussion.
