3 drug peddlers jailed

A mobile court sentenced three drug peddlers to different jail terms in Badarganj upazila of the district yesterday afternoon. The convicts are Sohrab Ali, 60, son of Jonab Ali of Shahapur-Mistripara area under Badarganj municipality, Bhobananda Roy, 42, son of Ambika Roy of the same area and Hasanur Rahman, 35, son of Momdel Mian of Shyampur-Collegepara village in Sadar upazila. Md Anwarul Habib, inspector of Rangpur Sadar Circle of Narcotics Control Department (DNC), said Executive Magistrate Khondkar Ishtiak Ahmed led the court.
