Fake DGFI man arrested

Police arrested a fake DGFI man at Chandraganj Purbo Bazar in Begumganj upazila of the district on Wednesday night. The arrestee is Md Shahid Ullah, 30, son of Md Tarik Ullah of Hazirpara village in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district. Md Golam Faruk, officer-in-charge of Begumganj Model Police Station, said Shahid went to a homeopathic medicine shop at the bazar at 10:45pm and searched all documents. At one stage, Dr Akmol Hossain at the shop wanted to know his identitiy. Shahid then introduced himself as a DGFI officer and claimed Tk 3,000. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and arrested Shahid.
