Fratricide

A youth was killed allegedly by his elder brother at Goga Purbapara village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district on Sunday night. The dead is Azizur Rahman, 26, son of late Nabis Uddin of the village. Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sharsha Police Station, said Aziz and his elder brother Hafizur Rahman locked in an altercation over sharing of money. At one stage, Hafizur hit Aziz on the head with a stick around 9:00pm, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 11:00pm.
