Regional level Bishwa Ijtema of Tablig Jamaat began at Jessore New Town field yesterday. Devotees have already gathered at the venue to seek spiritual blessings. Shafin Mahmud, assistant superintendent of Jessore police, said around 200 law enforcers have been deployed at the venue. They will perform their duties at 20 points. Around 2,000 volunteers are there to help the devotees, he added. Ten medical teams will provide treatment to the devotees, a source of the organisers said. The Ijtema will end after Zohr prayers tomorrow.
