Kid drowns in pond

An 18-month-old girl drowned in a pond at Diarchar-Shakrail village in Shaibalaya upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased is Basona Saha, daughter of Swapan Saha of the village. Family sources said the body was found floating on the pond around 10:00am two hours after she went missing.
