Noted writer Hasan Azizul Haque gets death threat

Unknown caller threatened noted writer Prof Hasan Azizul Haque with death over phone this afternoon.

The telephone call came around 4:30pm today, five days into the similar threat to Prof Emeritus Anisuzzaman.

"The caller told me: 'You can't continue like this. You have to change. Otherwise, dire consequence waits for you," Prof Haque, a teacher of Philosophy at Rajshahi University, told our RU correspondent.

The number of the caller did not show during the call, he added.

"As I asked him why I should change my way of life, the caller asked me to remain prepared [for dire consequence]."

Earlier on November 10, country's eminent intellectual Prof Anisuzzaman was threatened with death via a text message. The text message came from mobile No. 01738725815.
