Two drug addicts jailed

A mobile court yesterday jailed two drug addicts for six months each for creating disturbance in a Puja Mandhop area under Dhunat upazila of the district. The convicts are Sultan Mahmud, 22, son of Altaf Ali of Shoilmari village, and Khalilur Rahman, 45, son of Geda Pramanik of Boria village under the upazila. Police said the duo had been creating disturbance at a Puja Mandhop in Alangi Bazar area under Alangi union at around 11:00pm on Tuesday. They were produced before the mobile court of Hafizur Rahman, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Dhunat and also the executive magistrate, yesterday morning. After hearing, the court jailed them for six months each.
