Mohammad Touqir Islam’s “Delupi” has received a major boost with acclaimed Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap officially coming on board as its presenter.

The announcement was made by the film's team through social media, revealing that the project will now be presented as “Anurag Kashyap presents Delupi.”

Sharing the news, the team expressed their excitement and gratitude, describing Kashyap's involvement as a significant milestone for the film.

"We could write paragraphs about what this means to us, but the truth is, no words can fully express how we're feeling right now," the statement read.

For the makers of Delupi, Kashyap's support represents much more than a professional endorsement. They noted that for an independent Bangladeshi film, earning the trust and belief of a filmmaker of his stature serves as a powerful source of encouragement for the entire team.

The filmmakers also thanked Kashyap for believing in the project and expressed their eagerness to introduce Delupi to a wider international audience.

In their message, the team also acknowledged the role of supporters who have followed the film's journey from the beginning.

"Without your belief, encouragement, and unwavering enthusiasm, this journey might never have come this far," they wrote.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in contemporary Indian cinema, Anurag Kashyap is known for critically acclaimed films such as “Black Friday”, “Gangs of Wasseypur’.  His association with “Delupi” is expected to bring greater visibility to the Bangladeshi independent film on the international festival and distribution circuit.
