Former Mechanix guitarist Syed Imran Ahmed passes away after cancer battle

Former guitarist and Mechanix co-founder Syed Imran Ahmed has passed away after battling cancer for the past one and a half years.

The news was shared on social media by Aftabuzzaman Tridib, frontman of Mechanix. In the post, Tridib described Ahmed as a brother and asked everyone to remember him in their prayers.

“Syed Imran Ahmed, ex-guitarist and co-founder of Mechanix, has left us for eternity. He was struggling with cancer for the last one and a half years. I lost one of my brothers. Keep him in your prayers,” Tridib wrote.

Ahmed was associated with the country's rock music scene as a guitarist and was one of the co-founders of Mechanix.
