From Kamal Ahmed’s “Putrobodhu”, “Jibon Andhare Peyechi Tomare” was performed by Abdul Jabbar alongside Sabina Yasmin. Masud Karim wrote the song, and Subal Das composed it.

Abdul Jabbar was born on November 7, 1938, in Kushtia. He began singing for what was then Radio Pakistan in 1958. He made his film singing debut in 1962 and became a listed artiste of Bangladesh Television in 1964.

Over the course of his illustrious career, Abdul Jabbar received numerous awards and honours in recognition of his contribution to music. Among them were the Ekushey Padak in 1980, the Independence Award in 1996, the Bachsas Award in 2003, the Citycell-Channel i Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011, and the Zahir Raihan Film Award.

His voice became inseparable from some of the most beloved songs in Bangladeshi cinema, ensuring that his musical legacy continues to live on long after his passing.
