Shonar Bangla Circus set for ‘Mohashoshan Jatra’ in August

Shonar Bangla Circus will hold a solo concert series called “Mohashoshan Jatra” in eight divisional cities. The band’s vocalist and lyricist, Probar Ripon told Prothom Alo that the first show will take place in Dhaka in August. A show in Cox’s Bazar has also been added, outside the eight cities.

The band released its concept album “Mohashoshan” on January 8. It has 17 songs, including “Bertho Manush”, “Aguner Ponkhiraj”, “Duburi” and the title track “Mohashoshan”. The concert series takes its name from this album.

The title track has drawn nearly 250,000 plays on YouTube and over 1,200 comments. Many listeners say the song reminds them of their mothers.
