‘The Art of Rock’ returns with fifth edition after four-year hiatus
After a four-year break, one of Bangladesh's leading rock concert series is set to make its return with its biggest edition yet. “The Art of Rock 5: Owned Tribute”, organised by X-Force in association with Dhaka Broadcast, will take place on Saturday, August 1 at the KIB Auditorium in Farmgate.
The previous edition, “The Art of Rock 4”, was held in August 2022 as a two-day event, marking the festival's return after the pandemic. Since then, the concert series has remained on hiatus.

This year's edition will pay tribute to the legacy of the band Owned and its late member A K Ratul, celebrating their contribution to Bangladesh's rock music scene and their role in shaping the spirit of “The Art of Rock”.
A total of 10 bands are scheduled to perform both original material and tribute sets. The line-up features Karnival, Aftermath, Level Five, Firoze Jong, Conclusion, A K Rahul, Sin, Rockaphobic, Implicit and Shepherds.
According to the organisers, the fifth edition will feature a larger-scale production, upgraded stage design and technical arrangements, with Dhaka Broadcast joining as a collaborator. They describe the event as more than a concert, positioning it as a celebration of Bangladesh's rock movement and the community that has grown around it.
Launched in 2018 by a collective of independent rock musicians, The Art of Rock has evolved into one of the country's flagship rock concert series, championing original music and underground talent.
