Ziaul Faruq Apurba is all set to showcase another side of his artistic talent as he prepares for a solo concert in the United States.

Actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba is set to include a song from one of his television dramas among the 10 audience-favourite tracks he will perform at his upcoming concert, titled "Apurba Live Musical Night". The event will be held at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center in the United States and is being organised by Dreambox Entertainment.

The solo concert is scheduled for August 8, when Apurba will entertain audiences for nearly two hours with a selection of songs.

Speaking to The Daily Star over the phone from the United States, Apurba said that singing has always been one of his passions alongside acting.

"I absolutely love singing in addition to acting. Over the years, I have often sung at gatherings with friends and have also performed at various intimate events. Several dramas that I have acted in feature songs in my own voice. This event in the United States is being organised with great respect and professionalism, and I am delighted to be a part of it. I will be performing songs by some of my favourite artistes, and I may also include a song from one of my dramas that I have sung myself," he said.

Apurba also expressed his appreciation for the organisers and their efforts to create a platform that honours performers.

"I believe the organisers will continue to invite other artistes and present them with the same level of respect in future events. I am grateful for the opportunity to perform at such a wonderful arrangement. I hope this sets a positive precedent for those who perform here after me. For now, I am focusing on rehearsing and preparing the songs I will be performing," he added.

Rumours about a possible Apurba concert had been circulating since the beginning of the month. The mystery was finally resolved yesterday when Apurba confirmed the concert through social media.

According to organisers, the evening will feature nearly two hours of live music, with Apurba performing a selection of songs for audiences in New York. Details regarding the venue and ticket prices are expected to be announced soon.

Apurba has been spending much of his time in the United States in recent years. Since marrying US-based Shamma Dewan Trisha in 2021, he has divided his time between Bangladesh and the United States, where his wife and daughter reside permanently.

Despite his extended stays abroad, Apurba continues to remain active in the entertainment industry. Most recently, he was seen in Saleh Sobhan Auneem's web series "Headline", where his portrayal of journalist Zahir received widespread praise from viewers and critics alike.

Released in June, "Headline" marked Apurba's return to the OTT space after a two-year hiatus. Prior to that, he appeared in the 2024 web series "Golam Mamun".
