Bangladeshi singer, songwriter and composer Armeen Musa has joined the Recording Academy as a member, becoming part of the Academy's voting membership for the Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy, which presents the Grammy Awards, is dedicated to supporting, celebrating and advocating for music creators worldwide. Through recognition, education, professional development and industry leadership, the organisation works to advance the interests of the global music community.

Musa previously made history as the first Bangladeshi composer to be associated with a Grammy-nominated album. Her original composition, “Jaago Piya”, written by her mother, Professor Nashid Kamal, was featured on the Berklee Indian Ensemble's album “Shuruaat”, which received a nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 65th Grammy Awards.

Her inclusion in the Recording Academy's voting membership marks another significant milestone in her career. The achievement reflects her ongoing efforts to represent Bangladeshi music on the international stage and contribute to the recognition of excellence in recorded music worldwide.
