Sanjoy set for Dhaka performance ahead of World Cup final
Bangladeshi-origin American musician and music director Sanjoy Deb, who drew global attention with his performance at the opening ceremony of this edition of the FIFA World Cup during the Canada leg of the tournament, is set to perform in Dhaka ahead of the World Cup final.

Sanjoy earned widespread praise for proudly showcasing his Bangladeshi heritage on the international stage. His maroon suit, adorned with motifs of the Royal Bengal Tiger, the water lily and the red-and-green colours of the Bangladeshi flag, became a talking point among audiences worldwide.
Now, the Los Angeles-based EDM producer and DJ is preparing to entertain fans on home soil. He will perform on 19 July at Fan Fest 2.0, a six-day celebration organised at Kamal Ataturk Park in Banani to mark the FIFA World Cup semi-finals and final.

Alongside live screenings of the matches, the festival will feature concerts, DJ performances and a range of interactive entertainment activities for attendees. According to organisers Triple Time Communications, the event aims to create a vibrant atmosphere for football fans throughout the closing stages of the tournament.
The first semi-final, featuring France and Spain, will be held today (14 July), the opening day of the festival. Audiences will be entertained by Firoze Jong and DJ Sumon. The second semi-final, between England and Argentina, will take place on 15 July, with performances by Black Zang and DJ Tonmoy.

On 16 July, singer Tasnim Anika and DJ Prionty will take the stage. The following day, audiences can enjoy performances by Mila Islam, DJ Rishad and DJ Trisha. On July 18, DJ Sunny will perform, while the festival's final day will culminate with Sanjoy's much-anticipated appearance ahead of the World Cup final, joined by DJ Jadu.
Advance ticket sales have already begun through the online platform Ticket Tomorrow. Tickets for each of the first two days are priced at Tk 500, while tickets for each of the following three days cost Tk 300. Tickets for the final day are priced at Tk 700. Activities will begin daily from 6:00pm.
Born in Sreemangal, Bangladesh, Sanjoy was raised in the United States and is currently based in Los Angeles. As an electronic dance music (EDM) producer and DJ, he has collaborated with numerous renowned artistes, including Arijit Singh, Guru Randhawa, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, Benny Dayal, Nora Fatehi, Kona, Habib Wahid and Xefer, among others.
