Leica Oskar Barnack Awards have been celebrated since the 1980s. The festive event features photographs from around the globe which also get exhibited on the first day exhibition of the programme.

The inaugural event of Platforms, a programme dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant art scene of Bangladesh, was held on October 13, at Aloki. Platforms is essentially an online art gallery, that launched its official website on September 25.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition comprising multi-dimensional artworks of artist Mahbubur Rahman will be held today at 5 pm. The exhibit titled, “Quarantine”, has been organised at the Kamrul Hasan Exhibition (level 1) of Bengal Shilpalay in Dhanmondi.
