Chorki unveils August lineup with four new titles

Chorki has unveiled a four-title lineup set to premiere throughout August, offering viewers a diverse mix of drama, comedy and surreal storytelling.

The month-long slate begins on August 6 with Ahmed Hasan Sunny's "Ekhane Rajnoitik Alap Joruri". It will be followed by the Chorki Flick "Rongin Shurma" on August 13, directed by MD Reazul Hoque Imran and starring Afzal Hossain and Afsana Mimi.

On August 20, Chorki will release its Flash Fiction title "Faisha Gesi", directed by Mahmudur Rahman Hime and featuring Sabila Nur and Dibya Joyti. The August lineup concludes on August 27 with "Paint on Dry Leaf", directed by Fuaduzzaman Fuad and starring Imtiaz Barshan and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed.

Each title in the lineup explores a different genre and narrative style.

Originally released in cinemas in January, "Ekhane Rajnoitik Alap Joruri" examines themes of political philosophy and will now make its exclusive streaming debut on Chorki. The film stars Imtiaz Barshan, Azad Abul Kalam, AK Azad Shetu, Keya Al Jannah and Tanvir Apurbo, and is produced by Khalid Mahbub Turjo.

"Rongin Shurma" is a short-form family drama built around a lie, countless letters and the enduring love between a married couple. The Chorki Original reunites acclaimed actors Afzal Hossain and Afsana Mimi on screen.

Meanwhile, "Faisha Gesi" is a comedy that follows an Uber driver whose encounters with a series of unusual passengers blur the line between opportunity and crime. Jointly produced by Alpha-i and Chorki, the Flash Fiction title also stars Dibya Joyti, Arfan Mredha Shiblu and Corovi Mizan.

Rounding off the month's releases, "Paint on Dry Leaf" unfolds in a surreal world, exploring themes of love, hope and humanity's determination to survive in the face of destruction. Alongside Imtiaz Barshan and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, the drama presents a story of resilience amid adversity.
