Eid film stars hit cinemas to promote festive releases

Actors and filmmakers behind this year's Eid-ul-Azha releases are visiting cinemas across the country to promote their films and engage with audiences.

Eight films have been released in 181 theatres nationwide this Eid, including “Rockstar”, “Roid”, “Malik”, “Masud Rana”, “Officer”, “Toshnosh” and “Pinik”. While promotional activities are taking place across the country, most cast and crew members have primarily focused on visits to multiplexes.

“Rockstar” team meets audiences

Shakib Khan-starrer “Rockstar” has secured the widest release of the season, screening in 103 theatres across the country.

The film opened with 18 shows at Star Cineplex on its first day, a number that increased to 36 shows the following day.

Following the release, director Azman Rusho and actors Sabila Nur and Tangia Methila visited multiplexes as part of the film's promotional campaign.

"This film does not rely on action sequences or item songs. We wanted to offer audiences something different from what they have been accustomed to seeing. The story is completely original. It will take some time to fully understand how audiences are responding to it," Azman Rusho said.

“Malik” draws crowds

Action star Arifin Shuvoo and Bidya Sinha Saha Mim have been promoting their film “Malik” at Star Cineplex.

Directed by Saif Chandan, the film is currently running in 32 theatres nationwide and has reported several houseful screenings.

"People enjoy watching entertaining films during Eid. 'Malik' has action, romance and fun. Audiences have never seen me in a look like this before. I hope viewers are enjoying the film," said Arifin Shuvoo.

“Roid” continues strong run

The team behind “Roid”, directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, has been visiting theatres since Eid day. Several screenings of the film have reportedly sold out.

“Bonolota Sen” team joins promotions

The cast and crew of “Bonolota Sen” have also been participating in promotional visits to cinemas.

Directed by Masud Hasan Ujjal, the film is currently screening at eight multiplex screens, with multiple houseful shows reported daily.

The film stars Khairul Basar and features performances by Gazi Rakayet, Shohel Mondol, Naziba Bashar, Priyontee Urbee, Ruponty Akid, Sharif Siraj and Sumaiya Khushi.

“Masud Rana” team tours theatres

Directed by Saikat Nasir, “Masud Rana” has been released on four multiplex screens and its cast and crew have been visiting theatres to promote the film.

Several screenings have gone houseful since its release. The film stars Russell Rana, Puja Cherry Roy and Sayeda Tithi Omoni.
