Actor Amir Siraji on life support

Noted actor Amir Siraji has been put on life support, after being immediately rushed to a hospital in Rampura. The actor was admitted to the hospital at around 7:30 pm yesterday.

Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association general secretary Zayed Khan confirmed the news to The Daily Star.

"Amir bhai is a respected member of our association. He has been put on life support due to breathing complications. Everyone, please do pray for his quick recovery," mentioned Zayed Khan.

The prominent actor ventured on small-screen with Bangladesh Television in 1991. The veteran artiste debuted on the silver screen with the 1985 movie "Radha Krishna".

Amir Siraji also acted in several government-grant winning films, including Chashi Nazrul Islam's Megh-er Porey Megh, PA Kajol's Mukti, and Faruk's Kaktarua. The prominent actor has worked in 700 movies throughout his long acting career.
