The Bangladeshi short film "Bondhu Amra", directed by Shamim Zaman, bagged the Best Jury Award at the Goa International Film Competition. The production features Mosharraf Karim, Akhomo Hasan, Robena Reza Jui and the director himself.

Shamim Zaman received the good news via an email. "The film was screened last Friday and the organising body informed me about the award after the screening," he shared. "The news made me very proud of my work. I hope Bangladeshi cinema keeps achieving new heights internationally."

"I would like to dedicate this prize to two of my dearest friends, Mosharraf Karim and Akhomo Hasan. We finalised the script together, and our trio is the secret behind this success," he adds.
