Competition builds up for Film Artistes’ Association elections
The Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association elections are set to take place on January 28 at the BFDC. Candidates of the two panels submitted their nomination papers on Wednesday afternoon.
Ilias Kanchan and Nipun were the first to submit their nomination papers, while Misha Sawdagar and Zayed Khan's panel made a grand entry at the BFDC, amid a celebratory ambience.
Ilias Kanchan and Misha Sawdagar will be competing against each other for the post of President, while Nipun and Zayed Khan will be vying for the post of General Secretary.
In the Ilias-Nipun panel, Riaz and DA Tayeb will contest for the post of Vice President, Symon Sadik has signed on for the post of Joint General Secretary. Shahanur will contest for the post of Organising Secretary, Nirab has signed on for the post of International Affairs Secretary. Arman will be competing for the post of Office and Publicity Secretary, Emon has signed on for the post of Culture and Sports Secretary. Azad Khan will be competing for the post of Treasurer.
Amit Hasan, Shakil Khan, Nana Shah, Afzal Sharif, Sanko Panja, Jasmine, Keya, Pori Moni, Gangua and Simanto have signed on as members of the executive council from this panel.
In the Misha- Zayed panel, Monowar Hossain Dipjol and Rubel will contest for the post of Vice President, Subrata for the post of Joint General Secretary, Alexander Bo for the post of Organisational Secretary, Joy Chowdhury for the post of International Affairs Secretary, JK Alamgir for the post of Office and Publicity Secretary and Zakir Hossain for the post of Culture and Sports Secretary. Farhad will compete for the post of Treasurer.
Rozina, Anjana, Sucharita, Aruna Biswas, Moushumi, Asif Iqbal, Bapparaj, Aliraj, Nader Khan, and Hasan Jahangir are contesting as members of the executive council from this panel.
