Farooki, Tisha blessed with baby girl

National Film Award-winning actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha and internationally acclaimed director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki were blessed with a baby girl earlier today. Tisha made the announcement herself on her official Facebook profile, with a photo in which she chose not to unveil the newborn baby's face. The actress also thanked her doctor for her extraordinary care.

"We thought we will be in complete control of emotions! But we don't know what happened when we saw her, took her in our laps. Tears rolled down," read a part of Farooki's post on Facebook.

The couple have named their daughter Ilham Nusrat Farooki. 

In December last year, Farooki announced that they are expecting their first child, posting a photo on his verified Facebook profile, showing Tisha's cute baby bump.

"It is an inexplicable and ecstatic feeling, as we discover ourselves as parents," he shared, writing a few lines of beautiful poetry with the post.
