Jaya Ahsan to star in film on the Partition of Bengal

Celebrated actress Jaya Ahsan is going to act in another new film from Kolkata named "Kalantor-Bongobhongor Biplobi Jug". She will play the role of a revolutionist.

The actress herself confirmed the news to The Daily Star. "The movie is based on the Partition of Bengal. Depending upon last minute changes in matters like the script and costume design among others, I am preparing myself well for this project," said Jaya.

The movie will be directed by Soukarya Ghosal. Earlier, Jaya did the films "Bhoot Pori" and "OCD" with him.

"Kalantor-Bongobhongor Biplobi Jug" will also star Kaushik Sen, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Riddhi Sen, Surangana Bandyopadhyay, and many others. Shooting for the forthcoming film will start in Kolkata on December 18.
