Kishwar earns a spot in MasterChef Australia grand finale
Culinary sensation Kishwar Chowdhury, who impressed the world with her representation of Bangladeshi cuisine in MasterChef Australia, has reached the grand finale of the competition.
The former home cook will compete against Justin Narayan and Pete Campbell in the finale. Pete was declared the first contestant to make it to the finals on July 6.
Kishwar competed against Justin Narayan and Elise Pulbrook in the semi-finals, which she overcame owing to her talent and skill.
A strong contender from the very beginning, Kishwar has not only won over the hearts of the judges with her delectable dishes, but has also garnered the love and support of Bangladeshis all over the world. She is only a few dishes away from clinching the title.
"When I first stepped into this kitchen, I was just a home cook. Now I am really confident about my food and who I am," said Kishwar in the show.
In an interview with The Daily Star, Kishwar had shared, "I am a versatile cook with affinity for all different cuisines, like any metropolitan individual. When I do cook Bengali food though, I get a sense of pride. I think that shows."
The rising star hopes to write a cookbook on Bangladeshi cuisine in the future.
