Resurgence of Covid-19 in Bollywood
Covid-19 is causing havoc across India once more, as several Bollywood celebrities are now battling against it.
Renowned TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor and actor John Abraham announced that they have been diagnosed with Covid-19, recently. Director Rahul Rawail, along with actress Mrunal Thakur and actor Arjun Kapoor are among those who have been infected with the virus as well.
Ekta Kapoor confirmed the news on her Instagram account on January 3, 2022, stating that she is fine and requesting anyone who has been in contact with her to get tested. Several of her friends from the film and television industries sent her "get well soon" messages. Actor Vikrant Massey wished her a speedy recovery, and actresses Shweta Tiwari and Mouni Roy also conveyed their love to her on social media.
Actor John Abraham and his wife, Priya Runchal, both announced that they tested positive for Covid-19 on January 3, 2022. The "Satyamev Jayate 2" actor said in an official statement on his Instagram account story that he got in contact three days ago with someone who he later learnt tested positive for Covid-19. After getting the Covid-19 report, the couple immediately went into isolation. Both of them have been vaccinated and are experiencing minor symptoms. They urged everyone to stay healthy, and wear masks.
Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra and his wife Uma Chopra have been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after contracting the coronavirus.
On December 28, 2021, on behalf of Nora Fatehi, her spokesperson stated that Nora had tested positive for Covid-19. Nora has been quarantined under the doctor's supervision since then, following protocols. She has been collaborating with BMC for safety and regulations. Nora was recently seen in Guru Randhawa's latest music video, "Dance Meri Rani," alongside him.
Rahul Rawail, the director of films like "Betaab" and "Arjun," tested positive for COVID-19 on January 2, 2022 and is now in isolation at home.
On January 1, 2022, Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur tested positive for the coronavirus. She announced the news on Instagram. She stated that she is experiencing minor symptoms, but is otherwise well. She further said that she has isolated herself and is abiding by all safety guidelines. She also asked anyone who came into contact with her to get tested right away, and stay safe.
