‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ sets record in Dhaka
"Spider-Man: No Way Home" has been running successfully in Dhaka, with a record number of screenings, since its release on December 17, 2021. As of now, a total of 61 screenings of the film are being held in the capital daily.
Amongst them, 53 shows are playing across all branches of STAR Cineplex, while 8 shows are playing in Blockbuster Cinemas at Jamuna Future Park.
"All our tickets for the new Spider-Man film are booked till December 21. We are confident that tickets for the next day will be sold out too," Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, STAR Cineplex's Senior Manager, Media & Marketing, told The Daily Star.
"Tickets for 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' were sold out in advance last weekend," shared Tawfiq Ahmed, Executive, Blockbuster Cinemas. "Large crowds are coming to the shows."
Earlier in Dhaka, a similar rush for tickets was witnessed for the films, "Avengers: Endgame" and "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker".
"Spider-Man: No Way Home" is directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland, alongside Zendaya and Benedict Cumberbatch, among others.
