Tell us something about "Boro Miahar Shaadi".

"Boro Miahar Shaadi" is a seven-episode television drama directed by Kaiser Ahmed. The production is in the local dialect of Old Dhaka and I am playing the titular role of Boro Miah. I am being praised for my work in this drama and I am overwhelmed with the response the drama is getting.

Tell us about your directorial ventures this Eid.

The tele-fictions "Live Lavlu" and "Durotto Bojai Rakhun" were released during this eid. Both are directed by me. My telefilm "Ektu Prem Hobe" was also telecasted this Eid.

New films and are being released over OTT platforms. Some notable web series have also surfaced over the past couple of years. Do you think this is taking the audience away from the television?

A lot is lost with time, but television will always be there. Even today, television has a huge audience body. Thus, I feel, there is no alternative to television. Even if OTT emerges as a preferred platform, the existence of television will always be there for its significant audience.

How are you spending your Eid holidays?

I am staying indoors in Dhaka with my family this Eid ul-Adha. Nevertheless, I am really missing Shirajganj, the enthusiasm of my friends back at home, and their hospitality.
