Sensing Rab's presence, Sabur and his cohorts opened fire. When Rab officials retaliated, Sabur was left with bullet wounds while the others fled, Maj Ataur said.
Sabur was rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Rab claimed to have recovered 24 bottles of phensedyl, 1080 yaba pills, 1 pistol and several bullets from the spot.
