Pride's summer hues
In the past few years, the trend of wearing saris has gone down, and Pride faced the challenge of attracting women to wear saris without compromising on style and sophistication.
The collection is intended to break the myth that saris, especially in the summer, are just a hassle. The new age, lightweight and soft saris that Pride has introduced can be worn at work, formal events or even at parties.
Say no to stuffy, heavy weight and uncomfortable saris, and explore the rich dimensions of Pride's Signature Collection.
The fabrics of the saris range from pure cotton, taant, kota, endi to Muslin. Computerised machine embroidery on floral based motifs dominate in many of the Muslin saris priced between Tk 5000 and Tk 8000. These are elegant, airy and perfect for party wear.
The combination of dip dying, machine embroidery and foil and screen prints have been used on a lot of saris, giving them a majestic and ethereal appeal. There are also simple, monochrome embroidered saris. You can wear them with matching blouses, or even add a bit of glamour by wearing a contrast coloured or a differently patterned blouse.
The polka dotted and tribal saris are must check-out items from the collection. The polkas come in various sizes and colours, whilst the tribal prints have been inspired from Aztec culture as well as ones in the subcontinent.
The saris with their pastel and bright summery colours will definitely make you venture out and make the most of summer. The modern and contemporary designs with high quality fabrics are expected to attract the youth.

Pride emphasises on the high quality of its saris, which do not shrink or wither with wash and wear. The metallic foil print which has been used in many saris does not come off with wash. However it is advised to dry wash these saris for long-lasting wear.
Saris are the pride of our heritage. Pride Signature Collection aims to revive this heritage by encouraging women to wear saris that are not only gorgeous and sophisticated, but are also comfortable. The prices of the saris range from Tk 580-8500, and there is something for everyone. Accessorise your look with a statement necklace or a contrast blouse, light makeup and bright lipstick, and you are ready to celebrate the summer.
