2 Shibir men held in Bogra
Police yesterday arrested two activists of Islamic Chhatra Shibir at Sariakandi upazila headquarters under Bogra district for their alleged involvement in anti-government activities.
The arrestees are Sadequl Islam Swapon, 25, former president of Shibir Sariakandi unit and Mohammed Ripon Mia, general secretary of the upazila (north) unit.
According to the police, the two were arrested at the bazar at upazila headquarters at around 4:00pm while distributing the photocopies of an anti-government report published in the Naya Diganta on October 18.
