BCL, Moitree clash on RU campus
Three people were injured yesterday as the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Chhatra Moitree clashed on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus.
The injured are student of finance and banking department Touhid Al Hossain Tuhin, Moitree convening committee member Ashraful Islam and activist Laltu. They were treated at the university medical centre.
Sources said, the clash ensued when Moitree leader Ashraful asked BCL activist Tuhin to leave the place as he was talking to his friends near Moitree tent at the Tukitaki premises at around 1:00 pm.
As Tuhin refused to do so, the Moitree leader severally stabbed him with knife on his hand and chest.
Hearing the news, BCL leaders and activists rushed to the spot and attacked Moitree leaders and activists leaving Moitree leader Ashraful and activist Laltu injured.
