Criminals damage 8 idols
Criminals damaged eight idols including those of Radha-Krishna at Bilkajuli Palpara in Dhunat upazila of Bogra early yesterday.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhunat police station Mohammad Yasin Ali confirmed the incident.
He said a case was filed yesterday in this regard and police was investigating to find out the culprits responsible for damaging the images.
Earlier, nine images of Hindu gods and goddesses were built in the last week of January. Though the puja ended, the statues were kept in the temple for further worship.
