BSF kills farmer in Panchagarh
Indian Border Security Force yesterday shot a Bangladeshi farmer dead on Madhupara border in Panchagarh.
The victim was identified as Islam Miah, 38, son of late Afiz Uddin alias Sarbatu of Madhupara village under sadar upazila of the district.
BDR Deputy Commander of Rifles Battalion-25 Major AKM Hasibul Hossain and local sources said, BSF members of Shingimari camp shot several rounds of bullets on Islam Miah around 3:00pm while he was cutting grass for his cattle, leaving him dead on the spot.
