A Dhaka court today placed model Mariam Akhter Mou on a two-day fresh remand in the third phase in a case filed against her with Mohammadpur Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.

An idol of Hindu Goddess Kali was vandalised by unidentified criminals at a temple in Bogura’s Sherpur upazila early today. Criminals have also thrown the vandalised idol outside the temple, said locals.
