A police constable was stabbed and at least two other people sustained bullet injuries during a clash between two transport owners’ groups on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogura this morning.

Following a case filed by her stepdaughter, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police arrested Anju Kapoor from Dhaka’s Gulshan area this morning on charges of “misappropriating” Tk 1.40 crore. Sheikh Omar Faruque, additional deputy inspector general of CID (Dhaka Metro) confirmed the development to The Daily Star.
