Begum Rokeya Univ appoints new student counselling director, three hall provosts

Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) has appointed a new director of its Office of Student Counselling and Guidance along with three new provosts for residential halls.

According to the university press release, the appointments came into effect on September 19.

Md Masud Rana, an associate professor of the Department of Management Studies, has been made director of the Office of Student Counselling and Guidance.

Among the newly appointed hall provosts, Dr Md Harun-Al-Rashid, an associate professor of chemistry, will take charge of Bijoy 24 Hall, Dr Mohsina Ahsan,an associate professor of English, will serve as a provost of Shaheed Felani Hall.

Dr ATM Zinnatul Bashar,an associate professor of the Department of Disaster Science and Management, has been appointed provost of Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi Hall.

The appointments were made with the approval of BRUR Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Showkat Ali, the press release said, adding the registrar signed separate office orders for each appointment.
