Litton ruled out of Zimbabwe Test
Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the one-off Test against Zimbabwe, scheduled to begin on June 28 in Harare, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced in a press release on Sunday.
Mahidul Islam Ankon has been named as Litton's replacement in the squad.
Litton had already missed the recently concluded T20I series against Australia in Chattogram due to a calf strain. Following further assessment, the BCB's medical department determined that he would not regain match fitness in time for the one-off Test. The BCB is yet to confirm whether he will be available for the subsequent three ODIs and three T20Is.
A 15-member contingent comprising players and support staff departed for Zimbabwe on Sunday. A second group of 13 members is scheduled to leave on June 24.
