SIXR through to Hua Hin Cricket Sixes semis

SIXR cricket club has reached the semifinals of the Hua Hin Cricket Sixes cricket tournament in Phuket on Friday. 

The six-a-side tournament is being held from June 29 to July 4 with matches at the legendary Alan Cooke Ground.

SIXR cricket club beat SPCG by six wickets with Ahmed Raihan Ahsanullah, Mashiur Rahman Ronnie and Aqueed Kader Chowdhury taking a wicket each. Shakir Habib Gandhi top scored with 22 in the 49-run chase. Gandhi again top scored with 40 off 17 balls when SIXR cricket club beat SCC Maldives by the same margin later in the day.

The match between SIXR and The Follies was abandoned due to rain, with both teams sharing points. Melbourne Mavericks and NT Roaring Lions won both their matches against SIXR cricket club.

SIXR cricket club will now face Melbourne Mavericks in the first semifinal, while NT Roaring Lions and the Follies will take on each other in the second semifinal, both to be held on Saturday. The tournament’s final will also be held later on the same day.

The Hua Hin Sixes is an annual cricket tournament in Thailand, which has taken place since 2005. There has always been significant participation from Bangladesh in this international tournament. This year, SIXR cricket club is representing the country in the Hua Hin Cricket Sixes.
