Tigers in tough group with England, SA, SL, NZ
Bangladesh have been drawn alongside England, co-hosts South Africa, New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Group B of the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, with the draw taking place in Cape Town on Thursday.
Group A, meanwhile, brings together India, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier, with the other qualifying place completing the group.
The tournament, co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, will feature 14 teams. 10 teams have come directly by virtue of rankings and hosts.
The competition will begin with a Super Series, involving the three lowest-seeded teams among the 14 qualifiers. They will play each other in a round-robin format, with the top side advancing to the next stage.
The second stage will feature 12 teams, divided into two groups of six. Each team will play the others in its group.
