Iraq takes control of Turkey border post

Iraqi government forces yesterday took control of the key border crossing with Turkey in the Iraqi Kurdistan region after weeks of tensions between Baghdad and Arbil, the Turkish prime minister said. The Ibrahim Al Khalil border crossing was closed while the handover was being carried out, leading to long queues, a report said. There were no reports of any clashes.
